Dr. Bridget Forstrom
Owner/optometrist
Dr. Bridget Forstrom is originally from Fairmont, MN. She graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Biology in 2003 and received her doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2007.
Dr. Forstrom sees patients in all aspects of Optometry but particularly enjoys working with contact lens patients, including multifocal contact lenses. She has an article published in the Clinical and Surgical Journal of Ophthalmology on Pterygium management and has practiced optometry in southern Minnesota for the past 16 years. Dr. Forstrom also keeps herself busy by teaching Anatomy and Physiology online for a community college in northwest Iowa.
Dr. Forstrom lives in Mankato with her husband Clint, son Collin and daughters Sidney and Brooklyn. When she isn’t working, Dr. Forstrom enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family, going to water parks with her kids and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings.

Scott Olson: I have been involved in the eye care industry for over 30 years. I have enjoyed every minute of that time and the many patients I have had the privilege to serve. We are always looking for new and different ways to improve your optical experience in any way we can, whether it’s frame adjustments, helping you find that perfect look in frame selections or providing you with the latest in lens options. Gina Olson: I have been working together with my husband, Scott, in the eye care business for over 30 years. Learning from the best, Dr. Gary A. Olson (Scott's dad), started my eye care career. The priority in day-to-day operation was customer service and treating everyone who came in our office as the 'neighbor' they were. We continue to promote this high quality of eye care today at Olson Optical.
Over the years, I have been involved in many aspects of the office, but my favorite service by far is assisting patients with their frame selections! I truly feel satisfaction when we choose that 'perfect' frame to enhance each person. Part of getting new frames, along with improved vision, is the excitement and confidence it gives patients. To be part of this component is very rewarding. In addition to frame selections, I will be the smiling face you see when you stop in the office or the voice you hear on the telephone. Heidi joined our team May 2023. She lives on a farm in rural Ormsby with her husband Brian. Heidi has two sons Kade and Kolby. She enjoys her morning coffee on her deck, family time, farm living and summer weekends at her family lake cabin on Lake Shetek.
